Clutterbot:

In order to get customer insights across to the relevant teams as well as some marketing planning for certain expos. I gathered insights that we recorded from family homes and created quick videos to showcase the customer concern. In addition to showcase what was expected in customer homes, staged videos were made to showcase the issue which involved a basic script and conveying the right message across.

I was the main lead and editor of creating a marketing video to showcase the abilities of the robot at ROScon which involved me gathering all assets from different parts of the business in order to. This was planned to be used for promotional material at specific conferences.

For these videos I used these softwares to edit and render them:

  • Capcut

  • Davinci Resolve

  • Adobe After Effects

  • I also used Clip studio paint to make basic storyboards

Below is the promotional material that I created for the ROScon event, this was showcased at the Clutterbot booth and was made to draw people into the booth which was successful in getting more attendees into the booth. I used Davinci Resolve in order to create this particular video.

As for the other internal videos I have been doing in this field, I cannot showcase these at this time because of NDA’s.

Personal

Study at Yoobee School of Design:

During my first year at Yoobee, part of my studies was related to film and film making. Because of this I gained more of a foundation in using Adobe products in university projects. These were the main tools that I used in order to showcase the designs I did when it came to the 3D art sections as there was need to showcase the final product of the assignment.

Showreel Editing:

In order to try and showcase my 3D work for that area of my portfolio, I needed to create different showreels. For this, I gathered what I wanted to show from my 3D work and put it together in After Effects. In terms of editing these videos, I mostly focused on cutting down certain clips as the main focus for this was the 3D work and adding a background royalty free music track.

For both of these, the main software that I used was:

  • Adobe Premier Pro

  • Adobe After Effects

I am currently working on new portfolio material for video editing specific videos, for current examples I have my old showreels for my 3D work as alternatives. This has been simple editing using Adobe After Effects. While only basic edits I am wanting to improve my skills more in this area.
